She sees his hesitation, but doesn't wonder at it for too long. In the time she's spent among men, she's learned that they have a lot of peculiar customs when it comes to social situations, especially concerning women. So she waits patiently, content to continue feeding the moth hares until he makes a decision. One of them wanders a little too close to the lantern again, and she gently guides it in another direction.

He eventually joins her, and she smiles to herself. Diana likes being around people, thrives in social situations, even small ones like this. Moving slowly, she uses her free hand to grab a carrot from her small pack, and offers it to him. If he doesn't take it, she doesn't seem upset, instead setting it on the ground for the creatures to nibble at.

"I've been watching them," she explains. "They share some traits with rabbits, so I thought they would with the other half of their namesake, too." This had just been an experiment, really, a way to pass an evening and satisfy her curiosity. She's pleased it worked out. "Though they do seem to like the light a little too much," she admits, gently brushing another moth hare away from the lantern.
