Viktor gets to see some of the wilderness outside Cadens, talk about his projects, listen to Ciri talk about her travels, and take his mind off of everything. Almost everything. It's inevitable that Jayce comes up, and he doesn't necessarily get upset at the mention of his name, rather, briskly moves the conversation on. He's enjoying himself. He's not about to bog himself down in thoughts of his own problems.
