Who: Viktor, Aleksander Klingel
When: Early August
Where: Bureau of Innovation and Technological Advancement
What: A presentation
Warnings: Nothing yet!

[Viktor has been here once before, under frankly more ridiculous circumstances. He’s still not convinced this isn’t ridiculous, in one way or another. Usually Jayce is the one making the pitches and asking for funding, and he feels particularly ill-equipped to be here by himself, especially given the general state of his health. He reminds himself, once again, that this is not Piltover—people aren’t going to dismiss him out of hand simply because of his social status or talk over him or act like he isn’t in the room. For once, his work is his own.

Well, in the “get credit for it” department, anyway. Viktor is fully aware that he needs academic backing to work on the things that he really wants, which means the usual song and dance of attracting the attention of the right people. Showing them something they might be interested in, and hope that it leads to more latitude for his own projects. It’s how things operated in Piltover, and it’s how he expects things to operate here, though Viktor does not necessarily have the luxury of time, so whatever impression he makes, it needs to be good. Effective. So innovative that it cannot possibly be ignored.

There hadn’t been much of an opportunity to investigate the receiving room the last time he was here—too many other people and also a bird and also Aleksander in a hurry to be reunited with said bird. Now, however, Viktor is afforded a moment to wait in a chair and glance around, good leg bouncing a little nervously in anticipation. He has a carrying case, with the project. A folio, with some of his notes. A handkerchief, pressed to his mouth to stifle his cough in the moments before the door opens. When it does, he's quick to haul himself to his feet at the sound (well, as quickly as he can, anyway), looking about as prepared as he can be, given the circumstances.
