It doesn't surprise him. Almost no one he's met so far hails from the same world as he does, and why should they? This world is entirely removed from his own; why shouldn't the worlds of others be just as alien?

Still, it's a fair question. "Many who claim it's sacred ground to the god they worship," he says. "They battle for control of the land and justify it with their religions. But all I see is needless war."
