"And yeah, it's not great. He's okay, though." As okay as anyone could be when locked in a cell, she supposes. Getting him out is her priority, but there's only so much she can do. "I've been down to see him. But they won't even say why, exactly, they're keeping those people down there. Or what they're going to do with them."

Any of them, really, but Nadine can recognize that she and her roommates are in a better starting position than the unlucky in the cells.
