RIP emet's feet ;; They're going to get mashed in this tag

What a pair we are.

[He had an inkling, of course. Far more than only the one. If not for the fact Emet-Selch had offered his abode to him so willingly when he had first arrived, then a multitude of other things. His compliance and his trust within their shared tent at the summit... and of course, Emet-Selch not calling him out for slipping ever so slightly thanks to the wine they'd consumed that night. The shoebill that even now, even here, he is most certain is close. Much less the education. With the task of teaching Hythlodaeus Garlean, gifting entirely new schools of thought to him by doing so, Emet-Selch had been nothing but patient and nothing but generous.

Much less other things. More obvious things. Finding little gifts throughout their shared house- always small things, enchanted bow strings, some forms of bottled scent that thanks to Emet-Selch's alchemical skill actually reminded him of home, even with inferior components... much less their sleeping arrangements still unchanged so long after Elidibus' arrival, were dead giveaways.

It was impossible to not feel cared for. Impossible to not feel loved very much and loved very deeply- and although Emet-Selch himself now had no concern saying such things- being shown, frequently and often, rather than being told had ever been his way.

And it is touching. So very much that sometimes, he could push aside the matter of deserving it and enjoy it- to find his perception of this flawed world all the better for it. He finds his hands tightening just slightly against Emet-Selch's shoulders. He finds himself looking into his brassy eyes- eyes that he now perceives as just as much his as the golden glowing ones he remembers- and he exhales, beginning to move again.

We could begin anew here. We had intended, after all, of being reborn together, all that time ago. Of finding each other, and living our new lives together. ...Yet viability [Horizon issues. Bizarre transformations.] aside, this seems as good a place as any.

[A small smile crosses his lips as he looks to the other man's face- far more interested in that than performing steps with any accuracy.]

We could consider it practice for when that time comes.
