[ sam is one of the first of the free cities crew to make it through the portal, mostly because he's not exactly sure what to make of the invitation, but also the need to just. make sure. the sight he finds is at least reassuring, memories of the summit filtering back over. it only takes him a moment, maybe two, before he's back in it again - smile on, eyes open, checking for faces and people he recognizes and, almost more specifically, doesn't. he's overly friendly, introducing and speaking with just about anyone who passes, though over the course of the days he's going to take particular care to make sure he catches as many of the summoned that he can find.

chances are, you'll find him walking up and down the sets of shops and stalls. though he's not entirely interested in buying anything, he's curious enough to take a look at each of the different merchant's wares - and the meats and cheeses definitely keep his attention. plus, that's where most people tend to be, and there's a good chance somewhere in the midst of shopping you might even hear him call out after you- ]

Yo! Hey! [ it's up to you if you're going to keep going and ignore him, or turn to the greeting, whether or not he's actually met you before.

that first night he does head back home, catching a ride all the way back to the inn with steve and whoever else decides not to stay that evening, but apparently that's not acceptable to some people, and the rest of the nights that follow you can find him more often around even as the days come to a close (because it doesn't really get dark, so much as darker, right?) those are the days you can find him either at the inn, or wandering around the streets of the marketplace looking for something he'd seen earlier that day, finding his way to the wine tasting, the main stage, and potentially even staring at the spas for a second or two too long. ]
