[After being in Cadens so long, visiting Aquila (not on purpose), Libertas (on purpose) and now Nocwich in rapid succession is enlightening. Caring very little for the momentous (perhaps tenuous?) peace between the vampires and werewolves, Viktor spends most of his time exploring the shops. If there are technological innovations here, he’s going to find them, and very much like his time at the summit, is entirely shameless about getting into involved discussions with the vendors.

The elixirs are also of interest to him, though it seems that he’s not convinced enough in their effectiveness to actually pull the trigger on buying any. He can be found examining some of the bottles, frowning.

Someone, please, just tell him to go to the spa. (Though he can, at some ungodly hour, be found in the hot spring, completely zoned out. It's what he deserves.)

[If you, perhaps, had the idea that Viktor is kind of Bad at Parties, you would be right. He cleans up acceptably at least, but a formal waistcoat and an attempt to tame his hair does nothing to mask his apparent illness, or the way he leans heavily on his crutch, something that those who only know him in the Horizon might find disconcerting. Still, he does his best to make an appearance, though he is a bit of a wallflower when not on Jayce’s arm (he is also, apparently, part of Alucard’s moral support entourage).

As befitting of someone who probably has not gone to any kind of social engagement in many years, he spends a great deal of time examining the art. He’s a scientist, but he still has an appreciation for most of the pieces (even the ugly ones).

You probably know more about this than me.

[Back at the party, he takes full advantage of the couches, and is largely amenable to making conversation, if approached. You might even convince him to dance, provided you’re able to be patient with him (he is not, as one imagines, a very adept dancer).

And, also, he is eating tiny snacks (very convenient) and possibly grabbing the one you wanted right before you do, and looking entirely unapologetic about it.

iii. nightbloom continued
[Viktor is not superstitious, nor does he necessarily believe in various supernatural happenings (he’s coming around to the Singularity, but mostly because it’s an undeniable magical power with full ability to affect the physical world). Still, he has enough sense not to be rude to their hosts, so he takes the bloom and attends the ceremony.

It is impressive, at least, to the point where even a scientifically-minded person such as Viktor finds the bloom fascinating. He spends some time examining the large flower, then his own, looking dangerously close to picking apart the petals. You know, for analysis purposes.

Then, later, after the letters have arrived, Viktor steals off to some dark corner to examine the contents of the box—not so far removed from the party, however, that he can’t be discovered.
