"Uh, no. I've just watched a lot of award shows. Fashion always seems to be a big deal."

And it's the same in parts of the Free Cities, at least from what Nadine has seen on her brief visits to Libertas and Aquila. Fashion, until recently, was nothing she'd ever cared about. Practicality in clothes, that was important.

But it's different now. She has reasons to care.

If only she felt more comfortable in her own opinions of what looks good.

"This is actually going to be my first formal event...uh, well, ever." She'd been about to say 'in this world', but when had she ever gone to a truly formal event? She hadn't even gone to prom.

"I have no idea what's considered fashionable here."
