you're totally fine, no worries at all!! take all the time you need!

[ The grin Sam gives him makes one appear on Claude's face as well, both because the 'challenge' was accepted and that the other man doesn't seem fazed by the truth this aligning too well with his plans to get to know him. The food on their horizon doesn't hurt either, what with how everything he's had of what they've been served has been rather delicious. Even if something not so great ends up on their plates here - he's happy to include it in as part of the experience.

For now he accepts the handshake with a sturdy one of his own, having gotten better about anticipating this instead of a bow. Not that he doesn't dip his head a bit in a shadow of said bow from another era, still inclined towards formality here and there. ]

Claude von Riegan, and I am. I spend slightly less of my time around Mag's now that I'm out and about most days. I've certainly seen you around plenty, though.

[ Claude's noted the other man's been busy indeed which matches what he's heard from other Summoned here and there over the past few weeks about Sam being a good person to know, and so here they are. With a smile he nods his head in the direction of the waiting attendant before stepping that way to get this tasting started. ]

Someone told me it helps to keep busy around here. They weren't wrong about that since it makes the time pass and it's helped me figure out the best routes to get from one place to another since Cadens seems to add somewhere between five and ten streets every time I turn around.

[ He's kidding about the spontaneous street generation, but really: even this trip to Nocwich has provided more places to get to know. Curiosity works in his favor even now as the attendant explains the rules and hands them both plates to fill from the variety available for their selections. Claude eyes one platter holding small dishes of particularly vibrant slices of something in an equally bright sauce, all of it disguised in shades of of a sunset so he can't tell if he's looking at meat, vegetables, or something else entirely.

This, of course, means he picks up one serving of it for Sam. ]

How've you been enjoying the festivities here so far? I have to say it reminds me a bit of proper feasts from back home, so I can't complain. The change of scenery's been nice, too.
