[ Kahlil lifts his head automatically to Jack's approach, frowning at the question and eyeing the deep cut on his bicep. It's hard for him to say whether he was caught but a beak or claw, or if it was the Gray Space itself that caused his wounds, the unfamiliar currents punishing him for his reckless speed. It was sloppy, he would have rather not used his abilities at all in the presence of natives. With Jack so readily willing to sacrifice himself, he hadn't had much of a choice.
