Nero's bombastic reaction has a way of making Estinien almost feel defensive, as if its raw enthusiasm is too much for his response to be genuine. If nothing else, this 'cousin' of his has been keeping him on his toes. He shakes his head a little.

"Make no mistake, I am willing to fight to save my world, and this one too. But I can't do that from here." He's kept his voice fairly low for this whole conversation, but Nero has been a bit less subtle. "And you'll be doing yourself, and I, few favours if you get yourself locked up before you can do anything of use."

He feels like he might be barking up the wrong tree, expecting this guy to accomplish anything at all, but there's no reason to deny his offers yet.
