It could've been worse, I guess. Death tolls are lower than they first expected, but... the scent hounds are still findin' bodies. Less now than in the beginnin', but at least one a day, still. There's a lotta rubble everywhere, lots of buildin's just crumbled. Some assholes are still out there, tryin' to loot what they can. But we're makin' headway. That's what matters, I guess.

Julie stays on the ground, not motivated enough to move, but she stretches her legs out, crosses her ankles. Her hands rest in her lap, idle. The Singularity seems to see Rhy for another long moment, inside of her consciousness, then settles to watch between them, like a well-behaved dog at its master's feet. That's not what it is, at all, but Julie has trouble articulating what she can feel from it. The movements, the sense, they don't translate properly to human words.

She looks at his hand on the stone, how he takes it away. ]

When you touch it... does it feel like anythin' to you? Or can you hear anythin'? Or is it just like touchin' any other rock? [ She adds on, as explanation, ] I know some other people, they said they can hear noise. Not anythin' particular, just... noise.
