Istredd's domain is impossible to miss in the Horizon. It is a safe haven for books and academics, but it's dark in there, barely enough light to read by, the staircases sometimes going to absolutely no where. Where it once was warm and welcoming, it seems like it's gone a century old in a day.
Istredd's domain is also a place where something very strange and specific starts to happen. Unlike any other domain but one. His relic-like structure as the monolith gives off a very distinct hum. It sometimes rattles and shakes as if something is beneath it, a small earthquake only felt within his boundaries. There is nothing underneath, as far as people know, but it feels like there is when there. Visitors will be able to experience this but as soon as they leave his domain it stops entirely. It is only on his grounds that it happens. Come visit, if you dare. Because of this many books fall to the ground and the exhausted owner of the tower can be found at the bottom, rubbing his eyes and trying to concentration.
His time in the Horizon and with the Singularity means that he is more often caught than others. Without realizing it, he is sucked into strange scenario after strange scenario. Maybe you find him in the snow, creating a shield of fire around him as he looks for anywhere to go. Maybe he is at the top of a strange building, watching as goo raises toward him. The labyrinth is thoroughly explored though, and this at least he finds interesting.
