Individual monsters can be killed but the chaotic energy of the Shield has existed since a time before even the True Runes. Chaos could not be killed, merely contained.

Could such power cause him to see Luc? He's not sure how it would, but he also doesn't see any reason it wouldn't.

Talking about Luc is still painful, it still opens raw memories. He doesn't want to talk about Luc, but keeping Luc a secret won't do him any good either. If anything, perhaps it would be best for at least a few people to know about his brother in case the Singularity brought Luc to Abraxas.
