assembles: (and be sad)

[ It sounds like both of them had been thrown in here with no warning or explanation, and with no one to greet them either. They're thinking along the same lines, which is that this part of the Horizon wasn't made by any of them.

As they climb, Steve's gaze flicks to Wanda. ]
The Singularity? [ What else could it be? Why it would make something like this he can't say. What does the ooze symbolize, for instance? Is it just plucking random thoughts out of their heads and building whatever it wants? And how long will they be trapped in here before it lets them out?

It's important to remember what's happening outside of this place too, and Steve is quick to nod at Wanda's question. He's doing his best not to climb so quickly that she won't be able to keep up with him, but they're staying well ahead of the ooze either way. ]

Yeah, it's the same in the Cities. If bodies aren't reanimating, they're getting picked over by birds and vermin. Some animals are dying to illness, like you said, and food is spoiling quicker than it should.

[ If this continues, things are going to get outright dire. If the illness spreads, if food spoils no matter what's done, even more lives will be lost. ]
