Jayce settles onto his feet again but for all his fear of whatever madness this is, it's a lot easier for him to focus on her. He puts one hand at her elbow, keeping her close, shaking his head.
"It's okay, we can get out of this, Wanda. We're stronger together." That is always Jayce, so firmly in the mindset that people are better when they work together and for each other. His love and loyalty to her are strong and she can probably feel it now in a way she doesn't always, since they're wrapped up in her domain and he already wears his feelings on his sleeve. "I'm not leaving you."
Jayce's gaze moves when he sees something behind her and he is fully ready to fling himself in front of her if it's a threat, despite the fact she's so much stronger than he is. But he sees the children instead and he's confused. He does know about them, she told him some of the story, but he didn't see them.
"I see them." Jayce bites his lip and returns his attention to her. To her open grief and pain and his heart goes out to her. "That doesn't mean they're there," he says, which is a cruel truth, but he doesn't want her to whip around and try to hug them if they're illusions. "I'm sorry."
