Despite the fact that this outcome is entirely predictable, Viktor is still jostled and still yelps in outrage when Jayce snakes his arms under him and fairly effortlessly lifts him off the ground. In an ordinary circumstance, he might be able to put a stop to this before it happens, but in his listless state, by the time he realizes what's going on, he's already picked up and being carried away.
