Istredd does look confused when he says circuitry, definitely well past his time, but veins make more sense. He gets his deep-thinking look, when he is dwelling and not paying much attention to what's around him, rubbing at his beard.

"The Horizon is on the psychic plane but when the Summoned were pushed into the crater around the Singularity, or physically try to get to it, we automatically come here."

It is one of the things he's been considering as he tries to decide how to get to the Singularity physically. He thinks he has the answer on how to do it, although it may not get to what he wants. But he's going to try.

"So all of this? The Horizon, the crater, the Singularity tower, it's probably all connected, all the same ground. Why wouldn't there be veins underneath or through it? It may well be alive. But why here?"
