Well. The Professor always did like to carve her own path. [ His lips quirk wryly at this as his fingertips tap against the side of his ale. ]

Claude, Petra and I, we all attended the same Academy - our memories align there. But there was a certain Professor who joined early in the year and became one of the heads of the three Houses. Which is where it gets confusing, because all three of us were in separate Houses, but each of us remember this Professor getting assigned to lead our House. It... changes things. Sometimes things that seem subtle and baffling and then bigger things later on, when the three kingdoms go to war.

We're not sure why they're the catalyst for the discrepancies in what we remember - and trust me, Claude and I have spent considerable hours pouring over what that could possibly mean - but it's the only thing we could point to where the differences make sense.

Oh, and the gaps in time are still there, too. Just to make things extra confusing. Claude's got at least a year on me and Petra's probably close to the same.
