[ Were Geralt that sort of bastard, the smart thing would be to let Thancred go in alone. He is not, so despite knowing this is not the most intelligent option, he heaves a sigh deeper than a troll's stomach and steps in with the man. For solidarity's sake.
Regret is instant.
At first, he thinks he's falling. But the ground rushes to meet him with no impact, and he realizes he has shrunk. By a lot. Before him is a...his mind fills in giant, but that isn't actually true. It's an average sized frog. The problem is that he is apparently also a creature of equal size. He's—
Ah, fuck. How the fuck.
Though he doesn't realize it, the sword has shrunk with him, a tiny toothpick now latched onto his back. He hops forward to face the amphibious Thancred. He refuses to make any sort of. Frog noise. Geralt is silent as he stares at Thancred, as though the other man (frog) has a solution to their problem. His round eyes retain the same gold color and look of displeasure.
Great. Wonderful. He's glad he gets to experience this labyrinth twice.
Another hop brings a small pond into view. He pauses at the edge of it. Either they will turn back when they cross it, or they will be eaten by a water snake. It's too late to do anything else, though, so Geralt simply...puts one webbed foot in the water. If they don't change back soon, he may need to do something drastic. Like spike himself on the next trap and hope that solves it. ]
