[ Jayce is always something of an over-sharer which Alucard is well aware of, their first conversation he was already rambling about his past and personal business. He is not great at holding back his thoughts or feelings. But the heralds have mostly put him past the point of actually caring about it. He's tired and miserable and he can't touch Viktor, who is going in the opposite direction when it comes to feelings.

He deflates and rubs his hands over his face. ]

[ Mostly because Jayce hates being a burden to others and that's what this feels like currently. These are his problems to worry about. Sometimes he's pulled people into his nonsense when he doesn't know what else to do, but he shouldn't with Alucard. ]

I think I should try to get to our tower, I want to make sure Rio is okay.

[ She may be a creation of Viktor's, but she's very real to the two of them, and anyone who visits. Jayce gets out of the chair. He can see the tower from here, so maybe walking instead of trying to teleport will help. ]
