That lines up with what Diana has heard, and a small bud of hope forms in her chest; these zombies don't sound like they're actively trying to hurt anyone, which seems like a good sign. Nadine's account of how the cadaver sat up is certainly disturbing, but helps that bit of hope grow.

"Then let's see if we can get them back to their realm." Death, she means--hopefully a peaceful one, without any of the chaos that swept the city last year.
