Jayce meanwhile is caught up in the power of the hammer like before and it feels good to have it in his hands, to feel the physical force breaking through barriers. If he could smash everything in his way he would, and this isn't a new problem of his, that surge of feeling needing to be handled. Jayce would have never considered himself an angry person before, but he was also fairly ignorant too. The realities of their world and the damage he'd done intentionally or unintentionally woke that injustice and frustration in him.

He feels like he has a hand in what they're doing, in how he can save Viktor. Nothing can stop him now. There is a surge of arrogance and he fully intends on sweeping Viktor up and just slamming their way out of the situation.

Until he looks over at Viktor and sees something he's never witnessed. Fear. And not just fear in general, but fear because of Jayce. The confidence seeps away from him and he pales, dropping the hammer (but not disappearing it) immediately.

"No, I'm sorry, I shouldn't have. I'm so sorry." He knows that Viktor is sensitive to destruction and they are in such a messed up situation. Jayce tentatively reaches out to touch Viktor's elbow.
