Viktor has to wait for Jayce to come down from the high of wanton destruction. It’s different than the dream in the Shimmer plant—there, they’d both been confused and terrified. Here, that much is true, but Jayce has the power to do something about it, and has taken it at first opportunity. The ease with which he blasts holes in the walls with his hammer is distressing, and even when he lets the weapon fall uselessly to his side is not enough to put Viktor at ease.
