She doesn't know that for a fact. Maybe complaining in the Horizon would be enough weird mental energy to get them a way out! Emotional creation energy--

No, wait, that sounds like a disgusting concept. That's the last thing humans need.

(The last thing Lucifer needs, with all his constant rage, but like he's ever going to consider himself the problem.)

His shock shows on his face when she pops back into view. Shows how much faith he has in anyone, especially tense allies. But it's only a second of surprise before he's accepting her help and clambering up after her, their Tetrised structure making a displeased sound before collapsing. Swept up into the goo.

"Well. At least there goes the substance's immediate path to us." He's already looking for the next way up, and walks across the ugly animal print rug--though the pattern not of any creature he's ever seen before--and over to a window and hauls it open, peering out.

They've made good progress, even through all their fighting at the lower points, but much of the cobbled structure had been swept up by the ooze, stringy tethers nestled together into ropes and coiling around to containers much higher above them. He can see creatures scuttling across the lines.

"Way I see it we go up the outside, unless you saw another door in here."
