He is beginning to get the sense that this will not be a productive conversation between the two of them, but that's been par for the course for millennia now.

The sight of Lucifer so close to losing it should inspire fear—but this is his little brother. No matter how ruthless or deadly Lucifer may be, Michael is incapable of fearing him. The attitude is enough, however, to inspire a familiar irritation he never thought he'd have to deal with again.

Michael crosses his arms and scowls at him.

By Lucifer's timeline of two or so years ago, he would still have been in Hell. It's easy to dismiss the 'again' in Lucifer's words as nothing more than him not wanting to repeat their shared captivity. Michael's not thrilled with the prospect, either. Lucky enough for them, the cage they're in now isn't much of a trap.

"Oh? Where should I be, then? Still inside your Cage? Better make up your mind about that."

He can be mad that Michael isn't in the Cage, or he can be mad that Michael is in (a facsimile of) the Cage. Not both. Either way, there's more to his domain than Lucifer's former prison cell.

"It's usually more extensive, but you'll notice the Horizon isn't behaving as it should. You should know more about that than most."
