Haunted — it's something like that, except the ghosts are just broken off pieces of himself. Strangely, knowing that the same thing is happening to Inej brings a faint ray of comfort. Not that he's happy for her torment, but it means that somebody else understands. The careful weight of her hand pulls his focus there, on the point of their connection. He releases a sigh.

"I know it's not real. That doesn't make it any less annoying."

Though Inej hardly seems in need of reassurance, he gives her hand a squeeze. She's a little bit like the walls surrounding them, solidly unbreachable, but maybe there are cracks he just can't see.
