[ At this point, Thancred has almost accepted that he isn't going to see the light of day again. It feels like he's been trapped in the Horizon for a full day by now, with no sign of being released. While he knows that it will have to let him go eventually, and that time itself could be warped here, it's all grown rather tired by now.
He's already made it up to the top of one of the shorter structures to escape the pink sludge for the moment, but it seems to be rising at an almost impossible rate. He can't be certain that it won't eventually reach high enough to get to where he is, and that means moving toward the tower that reminds him a bit too much of Eulmore in its shape.
Of course, that means he'll need to wade through the sludge to get there, and there's a chance it will simply consume him. Does he need to let that happen to get out of here? Does he want to risk that?
It's as he's considering all this that he hears a sudden splat from behind him. He turns to see Himeka on her backside in some of the ooze below. Eyes wide, he runs to the edge of the roof and extends his hand down toward her. ]
