But a nap definitely ranked up there with the number of things she wouldn’t mind getting in return for something she probably hadn’t enjoyed doing.
There had been plenty of days when they had done exactly what Claude had described. There was no particular pattern to which they sought out midday cat naps either. Whether it was after a particularly gruelling training session, a lecture that got a little stale, or a belly full of food – a nap was a great addition to any event.
Her surprised stupor is broken as her wyvern’s wet tongue draws a long streak across her cheek, eliciting a strangled “gross” that instantly morphs into a laugh. Gently, less of a reprimand and more of an affectionate hello, she boops Waffenzahn’s snoot who only throws his head back in glee knowing this dance well as he obediently moves backwards so she can get up.
When she’s upright, Hilda immediately moves to wrap her arms around Waffle’s neck, giving him an affectionate nuzzle, before lightly scolding Claude. ]
