You happen to have more than one laying around the Horizon? Since I'm guessing that's what we're talking about here given how convenient it is for demonstrations of... well, anything. That's extra convenient considering I do like to try things whenever possible.

Sounds little bit like Fodlan's history in some ways, at least in power and knowledge shifts. There aren't many weapons there which would earn someone a second glance in terms of the kinds available to most people, but the ones called Relics do simply because they... require a bit more to wield them.

And besides, if there is a meeting in the Horizon to come someday: as Thancred said, some things are better shown than explained. Perhaps the same could be said of combat since he hadn't missed the nod and smile his way in regards to that question, and if he'd had any doubts about the experience behind that quick takedown of the beasts they're hauling back. ]
The weapons here mostly resemble the ones I'm used to, but some of them must seem a bit antiquated compared to having gunblades around. Is magic also available for everyone to use back at your home?
