Sacrificing his own blood to do his magic is the very essence of Kell's unique brand of magic. It is what makes it so powerful. Though, woefully less powerful here than back home. So Victor would find no opposition to the idea in Kell if he ever mentioned it.

There were odd artefacts floating around from the times when people in Arnes used their magic more freely. Hundreds of years before.
