[ Many of the mages back home are more identifiable, either by the way they carry themselves or by their clothing. They're all trained for court politics and impeccable in presentation. As a researcher and scholar, Istredd managed to avoid all of that, and it makes him seem far more ordinary, better suited for a library than anywhere public like this. ]

I've only been here a few months. I'm an expert at magic in my sphere, and much of my knowledge transferred over here. I can use my own and the native magic fairly easily.
