But he lets her carry on with explaining who "she" is and who "he" is. The elf makes a soft thoughtful sound in the back of his throat as he pieces together what she's saying. It's nice, at least, that she understands that she's rotten enough of a person to imagine someone's telling her to kill and know that person might not even exist, that she's just listening to her own dark impulses and urges. ]

It's because you look down at yourself. You don't like yourself much. Liking to live and liking yourself are two different things, in my humble opinion.
