To be fair, if my magic was rather violent and not, as you say, nature, I am sure I would be much less inclined to indulge in it.

[Though the way the nightshade has begun seeding itself and growing on its own is a reminder from a higher power that he is not totally in control. That nature still has a wild mind of her own that will not be tempered.

Still. Jaskier thinks it says more about the magic that he still indulges despite it. Despite having used it in the aid of killing, once. (After all, it was only one more thief dead in the world.)]

As attractive as that sounds, she did scare me a bit. [Magic-wise, for sure, but also the sharpness of her tongue, the quick of her wit.]

Alucard, my dear, beautiful friend, you must acknowledge many people do things only to do them, not because they are more convenient. [He pats his shoulder with a degree of pity.] I do think you would have enjoyed the journeys to Skellige. Minus the Skelligans, I fear, who were often drunk and indulgent during such journeys. But the waters were bright and beautiful, and there were whales, and exotic fish, and sirens. I mean, if you're into that sort of thing.

[The way Jaskier says it, it sounds suspiciously like he was into that sort of thing.]
