[ Cynical, mayhaps, and she certainly knows the sort, but being the glass-half-full person she is, Himeka can definitely use some cynicism in her life to rein in her own expectations. And what he says is not without merit.

She falls into a quiet, contemplative silence as Alucard speaks. Their true motives are reasonably in question. From what she can tell from Thancred and Urianger, Thorne still monitors the Singularity closely. But what they learn from it she has no clue. ]

Thorne was the one who began all this, aren't they? Mayhaps they're trying to play their cards more friendly-like this time now that they're not the only ones who can Summon.

[ She doesn't really want to take responsibility for the beginnings of Summoning in Solvunn, but after Estinien's discussion with the council all those moons ago, she knows that it was their arrival in Solvunn which filled in those missing pieces for the Commune. How did the Free Cities fine tune their own methods? ]

...But in the end, we may just be a source of power for them. [ For any nation, really. It's hard to say. ] I cannot forget what they did to Relena even if she's no longer with us.
