It just made me more of what I already was.

It feels like he's parroting the words, and Istredd may recall hearing another voice saying them when they were fighting.

He's circled back and forth and in and out and has done jumping jacks to wonder how much of the Mark influenced him. Just another thing to blame other than himself. And he'll use it as an excuse in his own mind, but to Istredd asking? He doesn't have much of a concrete answer.

In theory he shouldn't be able to die, but if the Singularity is to blame for it than it might be the solution. I don't think he'll make it to the next Dimming to take advantage of that. Do you know if anyone has ever had their minds trapped in the Horizon--for more than a few hours? Yes, he's thinking of the worse-case options, because he does know Geralt will accept those when the others won't.
