Kell nods. Even just having to recall the meeting in the throne room makes his stomach sink. This was a fucking spectacle. The worst kind. He shakes his head. Everything afterwards is a blur of rage on his end.

Then we were shown a projection, I believe close to real time, of what was happening. With the implicit intention of us believing her mages were raining fire on the whole country. Not just a part of one city."
Kell shivers. Saints, he thought everyone he knew there was dead.
"No one told us anything. I had, still have, friends in Free Cities. They told me what really happened. But yes, the intent clearly was to make a show of force."
He considers her question carefully.
"Can't tell. Could be one, could be all of them. She has a lot of those, but I've never got the chance to see what they can really do. In person. We're not really taught anything even remotely dangerous, so I can't say what the limits of offensive magic here are."
