Some are born great, some achieve greatness, and
Who: Homelander and OPEN
Where: Thorne Castle, the dungeons.
When: After the meeting
What: Homelander is preparing to launch his plan to create The New Seven (ask him about it!)
Warnings: swearing?
[It's a day like any other in Thorne, the birds thrill outside his windows as Homelander pulls himself out of bed and there's a spring in his step as he sets out to-- change this world.
Why it had taken him so long to figure this shit out, was beyond him. He misses Madelyn, she would have thought of this weeks ago. She would have set up the meetings and lined up potential candidates with a few strokes of her pen.
But...
That was in the past. On Earth. Here, he was celebrated as the hero he was born and created to be, and Homelander whistles a happy tune until the mage informs him about the sad truth about Thorne. That he will have to draw the posters himself.
Fuck. This. Shit.
He heads down to the dungeons. That always seems to brighten his day.]

Hey, buddy.

He likes being down there, but on the other side of the bars. It allows him to look out for his people, make sure they're getting enough to eat and that they're not wanting for anything so long as he can smuggle it down there. Lloyd hasn't really had a problem with it yet. He may not be the best right-hand man, but he's also been a criminal most of his life.
As he's approaching the stairs to rejoin society, he stops and moves out of the way for the lumbering hulk of a man making his way down. He leans on the support wall, looking Homelander up and down, an amiable smile on his face. ]
Well hey, yourself.

Like a switch getting flipped, a huge beaming smile flashes across his face and Homelander tilts his head.]
What are you doing in the dungeons, pal? I hope you're not thinking about helping any of them.
[Hypocrisy had always been strong in him, even more so in Thorne. With no one to call the shots, no one to give him even the barest of hints about what to do next. All he had, was his own little creative ideas and Homelander was never good a sharing.]
Or - [He laughs] hurting anyone.

They're already down enough, don't need anybody adding to it. Prison's a rough gig.
[ Well, he hasn't denied helping them, but that's nobody's business but his. Lloyd takes care of his people, that's all. ]

[And he probably sounds like every bad PSA from the 1980's, dripping with condescension, when he continues] I know that they all say they're innocent. But they're not. They did bad things and they got caught doing it.

[ He wrinkles his nose at Homelander's spiel. This dude obviously doesn't know the kind of person he's talking to. Maybe he doesn't know a jailbird when he sees one. Lloyd can't argue that everyone in the dungeon is innocent- he knows what kind of crimes his people have committed, but that was before this place. More harm than good can come from locking Flagg up, and Lloyd at least knows he's on the right side of it when he does get out.
When. Not 'if'. ]
If that were the case, I'd be locked up same as them, but I ain't. I'm Welcomed. [ There's a lot of sarcasm dripping from that last bit. While he won't argue about the why, he can't say he deserves to be on the other side of the bars when other people are behind them. ]
