Anyone who lives there can understand. Dante may top that list, in fact.
Thancred exits the portal only a few moments after Dante, and so it's little surprise that he's greeted so readily. He responds with an easy smile. ]
An enticing offer, to be certain. And what do you say to a spot of gambling? Assuming you have the coin to spare, that is.
[ Other than that strange interlude that involved searching the sewers, Thancred hasn't seen Dante do much work. Mayhap he's selling pizza now? Has it caught on with the locals? ]

He finds himself in the gambling hall after collecting his coin from a contact. Decides to stay for a drink or two; less effort than finding another tavern.
It's here Thancred and Dante will find Geralt, occupying a corner table with a tankard of ale and not much else. He glances up when he spots not one, but two familiar heads of white hair stepping through the crowd. Hm.
His eyebrow lifts just a hint. He doesn't wave, doesn't even make a greeting, but eye contact is established before he lifts his drink to his lips. Which, functionally, serve the same purpose for Geralt. ]

What few coins he does have, he jingles in his pocket. He's a high roller, yeah. Yeah. ]
I could add a few pieces to the pile.
[ Because he's going to win and doesn't have abysmal luck. Absolutely.
So to the gambling hall it is! They can get a quick bite to eat and try to double their earnings. Thancred would surely spot Dante a bit if he needed it, right? Friends and all that. Comrades in arms.
The vibe is exactly how Dante remembers it--a little old, a little dirty, but warm and welcoming all the same. As far as he's concerned, it's perfect. He scans the room, mostly to check and see if there are any chumps who may be worse at a game of cards than Dante, but instead finds a fellow who is definitely not a chump but instead and esteemed aficionado of warm baths and dark drinks. ]
Ah!
[ If Thancred hasn't noticed Geralt yet, Dante gives the shorter man a pat on the shoulder as he motions them over to the other man's table. ]
Thanks for saving us a seat. We didn't miss Happy Hour, did we?
