[She looks from him to the shining tree, thinking it nearly looks bejeweled. Is that how it is where he's from, or is it simply a part of the Horizon? It's difficult to tell, if she's honest. There is magic here, though her connection to it is not as strong as it should be for one with her blood.
Peace, joy, and rest sums it up nicely. She nods just a bit, head bobbing slightly as she continues to look at the tree for a moment longer before turning her gaze back to him. Her eyes do shine, though she's managed to get a hold of her emotions once more. Not an easy feat when faced with such an outpouring of feeling, but she's managing.
The strange creature on his shoulder, of all things, helps ground her. It looks akin to a cat, though not like any she's ever seen. When she speaks again, her voice has steadied, and her eyes are more or less clear.]
It's all I can feel. Like coming home. [She glances around them again.] Though little of this looks like where I am from. It is beautiful, nonetheless.
...coming home would be a very apt way of describing the feeling. I wasn't aware those that aren't Force Sensitive could- resonate with the kyber here.
[ On petite birdlike feet, the kitten rouses enough to stand and stretch, jaw cracking open in a wide quavering yawn before circling around to Obi-Wan's other shoulder to doze, all while Obi-Wan remains perfectly still as to not disturb the creature. ]
But I can't say that I regret it. Knowing that at least here, others can experience the Living Force as I do, even in this strange world. [ Even if only in the Horizon- even if he cannot quite feel others the way he would in his own realm just yet- there is a comfort in mutual connection that has his eyes warm to the point of welling, but the emotion moves through him without leaving a mark.
He has a guest. Gawking is impolite. ]
The wisteria is one I spent many a day under or in as a young man, though it was but a tree back home. The kyber is, I think, what makes my domain resonate so. Welcome, I am Obi-Wan Kenobi. Would you care for a cup of tea, perhaps?
[While the words kyber and Force mean nothing to her by themselves at the moment, she makes the assumption that they have something to do with the tree and the way it shimmers. Though she does not know what kind of power it is, she wonders at it.]
The Horizon is mysterious in many ways. Perhaps this is another one of them.
[She presses her hand to her chest once more as if to hold everything within herself, before dropping her arms to rest by her sides. Her stance is loose, but despite the ease with which she holds herself, she still has an air about her that she's ready for anything.
She inclines her head slightly in thanks for the explanation, and looks again to the tree. It is so unlike anything she has seen before, almost like something from the realm of the gods. She exhales slowly, and smiles at the offer.]
Well met, Obi-Wan Kenobi. I am Diana of Themyscira. Tea sounds lovely.
[While they may not need to eat or drink in the Horizon, it's the familiarity of the action that matters.]
[ Of everyone he has met in person thusfar- this woman reminds him most of the other Jedi in his home. There's a certainty and vigilance about her that brings to mind Depa, for all that her attire makes him think of Ayla. With a genteel bow and gesture, he motions for his guest, Diana, to follow him to the crystalline ivy covered gazebo where he prepares his tea while attuning with this place. ]
A pleasure to meet you as well, Diana of Themyscira. I must admit, I've not read of this- country? Kingdom? Planet?
[ Curiosity buoys him forward as he walks Diana to the gazebo, hands slipping into the sleeves of his robe out of habit, eyes bright and intent. If there is one thing about this trip he's enjoyed? It's the opportunity to learn a great deal about a great many different people and their homes; places and planets not in the archives, peoples and powers unlike anything he has ever known.
It is almost enough to make up for the rather rude summoning. ]
[As is the rest of the domain, the gazebo is beautiful. She wonders at the world he's from, for him to conjure such miraculous flora. She reaches out to draw her fingers along the delicate ivy as she moves up the steps, touch gentle and almost hesitant.
Her attention returns to him at the question, her smile growing more at ease. She, too, enjoys leaning about the worlds of other Summoned, and has no qualms sharing details of her own.]
Themyscira is an island, governed by a queen and a senate. [Not quite a kingdom, not quite a country (as one would understand it). She doesn't share that the Queen is her mother; she's already learned that it is, in another's words, "coming on too strong" to do so.
She tilts her head back to look at the wooden ceiling, catching the sparkling of ivy leaves through minuscule gaps in the boards.]
And where are you from, where the plants grow like gemstones and the trees speak to the heart?
A galactic republic, governed by a senate and an elected chancellor. [ Obi-Wan offers easily, taking a moment to go through the familiar ritual of steeping tea for himself and his guest. The blend is something rich and spiced, warming- a favored piece of home for him that he has not yet found in the Free Cities. ]
It is a reality of many worlds, many peoples, and many marvels. I think the Temple archives do state there was a world in wild space that had plants that grew in crystalline structures, but whether or not they were kyber was unremarked upon. Sadly, whoever found that place didn't list the coordinates, and we never venture quite that far out.
[ So it will be up to the exploration corps whenever the war finally ends to seek it out.
Tea steeped, he offers Diana a mug of his favored blend, nodding for her to sit. The gazebo is as warming and serene as the knoll where he'd been meditating, though there is more of a breeze here. ]
[While galactic is a little much for her to wrap her head around at the moment, the rest of it seems easy enough to grasp. So, a gathering of people from different worlds is nothing new to him in truth, which must make being in this world so much easier. She's envious of that, a bit.]
I wish I could see such a place.
[There's an earnest wistfulness to her words, but she'd say them about nearly anywhere that wasn't Themyscira; five thousand years is a long time to spend in just one place, with only stories of the world outside it. That would make just about anywhere appealing.
She takes the offered tea, inhaling the scent deeply. Her chest warms, and her smile blooms. Most of the spices are unfamiliar, but there is something about the combination of them that reminds her of beaches and the heat of the sun.]
What of the world you are from? And this Temple? Tell me about them.
