While the eye-catching architecture and the lavish outfits are not enough to distract him from all that's happened, the opportunity for those who spent an entire moon in captivity to forget all that for an evening isn't something he can entirely begrudge. To see him looking so well, his facial hair grown back in, his outfit and accessories twinkling under crystal chandeliers, and his focus unmatched as he weaved divination magicks into a light show — there's something healing in it given what state he'd been in when Thancred and Himeka found him. Perhaps that experience put things into perspective for Urianger, given that he even agrees to dance with someone, his red garments twirling along with him across the ballroom floor.
Shortly after that dance, Urianger happens to catch his eye where Thancred's situated near the food table. He sets down his glass to clap, nothing too loud or boisterous because he isn't actually aiming to embarrass his friend in this instance. ]
