[ Blake's lips twitch similarly, a partial smile driven to the surface at Viktor's explanation. It sits atop the mental image of the sign he carried in through the door and he finds himself quietly charmed by it. Sentimentality is one of his more ghostly features, a hidden vulnerability that hasn't been necessary since coming through the portal with nothing. ]

Looks friendly. Who could walk past a call like that?

[ He glances around at the emptiness but doesn't ask what he wants to ask. ]

Any idea when you'll make a decision? Can check back whenever, or you can—

[ Blake gestures at his head. He's not a fan of what he's been calling "brain texting," but won't deny it's better than sending a courier or a letter. ]

[ Much like a cat, Blake's presence and ambiguity for the happenings of the world outside the workshop might as well go mostly without notice. He's here to offer his fidgeting hands towards a purpose without having to ask too many questions or be asked many of his own. To focus on the tasks at hand With any luck (or at least a little hard determination) this will pave the way towards moving right out of his room at the inn and finding somewhere a little more suiting to his need for privacy.

He nods, finally, not allowing himself to get too far off track with his thoughts, eyes only briefly searching for the feline before focusing again on Viktor. If the last couple of months have taught him anything it's that he needs to be flexible because his attitude is not always tolerated, nor are these fits of quiet where he wants to act more than think. So, he smiles a little and tips his head in further acquiescence.
]

Sure. Can do.

[ Requirements — safety gear, if any — will probably need to be discussed, but Blake doesn't possess enough clothes to be picky about attire, so he'll have to make do with what he's got.

(He thinks of his first job flinging pizzas, the way the work had followed him home in floury handprints and cornmeal in his shoes. It's a lasting reminder of hard work. He doesn't mind it so much. Hell, he kind of prefers it.)

This is good. This is a start.

Thanks, boss.
