[ Michael barely finishes his sentence before there's a wet, crunching sound. Nanaue walks out into full view then, wiping his lipless mouth with the back of his meaty arm. His dark gaze shifts from Michael to the strange creature. ]

Nom nom? [ He asks, then immediately starts walking forward toward the scavenger beast without waiting for an answer. ]

I thought you were keeping this one?

[Fish-headed man and fish-headed dog, both endowed with fearsome sets of teeth. They seem to make the perfect pair.

He makes no move to stand between Nanaue and a potential snack, though. It's no skin off of his back if another rift creature goes missing and he's all too familiar with what those jaws can do. Having to restore his vessel in the real world might not be as uncomplicated as doing so within the Horizon.

The varren, meanwhile, seems oblivious to the danger—enthused by the smell of a fresh meal, maybe. It abandons its staring contest with Michael and scampers over to Nanaue, parting its jaws and licking at the blood on the back of his hand.]

Keep...?

[ He watches the (relative to him) small creature approach, feels its little tongue lapping up the blood and viscera from his hand. This makes him laugh, that low and rumbling sound from his chest. With his other hand he raises it over the creature's head - it shies away from the sudden movement and he shifts back, glancing in confusion first at its large, round eyes and then at Michael. ]
