Monsters attacking kind of put a hold on the rest of Bay's life for- you know, a while. There were a bunch of things she wanted to do, wanted to talk about, but couldn't. So her social life somewhat became 'draw monsters and collect information.' And now the world has gone back to normal.

Returning to her crisis already in motion, able to focus on a thing she couldn't get out of her head. Because it'd come up twice and she needed to deal with that. She didn't have the person she wanted to talk to, but she had made a friend she felt capable being open with. Bay was curled up on her bed, with a book of Thorne's history, about two centuries old.

And she was naked.
