I'm not much of a drinker.
[preferring tea over most anything else, but she reckons that's not being sold here anyway...]
Is it ale? Or something stronger?
no subject
It's stronger. But not by much. [ but then it takes much more to get her drunk. ] Tastes like cherry whiskey mixed with potpourri, for lack of a better explanation.
[ sounds appetizing, doesn't it? ]
no subject
she's going to be expected to drink, isn't she?]
Sounds disgusting.
[except jessica's gone and ordered two, and it doesn't sound exactly like something wanda could put down very easily. she offers a scrunch of her nose.]

no subject
It is. [ but she takes a drink of her refill anyway. ] Ale wasn't doing the trick today.
[ at the mention of a brother, jess's attention turns fully towards wanda, though she tries to keep her expression impassive. she'd remembered reading something about how there'd been another person in sokovia, someone who hadn't made it. but she hadn't had much reason to look into things beyond that. ]
Did you want one? [ she sounds a little less harsh with those words; not really gentle, just less sharp. ]

priorities and all.]
I mean. [a pause, really debating with herself over what to do next.] I could probably try it.
[just try it. she reaches for the second cup brought over.]
And make up my mind about it after.
