[ When he returns the kiss, she smiles into the kiss. She untangles their hands, shifting herself into his lap so that she can cup both sides of his face, tenderly brushing her thumbs over the bones of his cheeks.

Unlike the other times they had kissed, she has time here to explore the shape of his mouth, the taste of him. He's as delicate as the rest of him with artfully shaped lips that she yearns to explore more of but holds back from doing so.
