Julia also has spectacular bad luck so she gets that on a gut level, although she doesn't know to what varying degrees they have. She's glad at least that he doesn't panic when she does the spell since staying still does require some trust on his part that she's not about to set him on fire.

The magic from her world is a series of learned spells and instincts; she can teach one but not necessarily the other. It's why she's always been able to use it in a way trained magicians could not. They think too controlled, too within the books only. Not fluid, like hedges.

Her hair is as dried off as she's going to get it and it's a little wraggled at the moment, so she tries to run her fingers through and get the tangles out. Her own blanket stays on her shoulders, and she is glad she has it. There's still comfort she can get out of it. He seems to improve thanks to the heated blanket so her work is filled, and she smiles as he keeps talking.

"I grew up on those too. And I'm a good witch, not a bad witch, promise." That is a playful reference to the Wizard of Oz since he mentioned it, trying to set him at ease. "Transfiguration spells, like turning into a frog, is incredibly difficult and not just something someone can do. The disappearing trousers ... a little more possible, but unlikely."
