[ it's the worst cycle (maybe not the actual worst, but still pretty frustrating) - and she's glad to be facing off against it with percy instead of playing some awkward avoidance game. she wouldn't have blamed him, if he needed space, but she's very glad he doesn't. ]

[ she'll make it up to him, the hurt and the struggle of her awakening, even if he doesn't think she needs to. but for now she buries it and tries to only think about their date. they deserve it, as far as she's concerned. ]

I can't believe you were gossiping about me to the horses.

[ she says it teasingly, nudging him briefly with her elbow. her cheeks go a little pink, because maybe it's not a total surprise, but it's always flattering on some level to know how much percy actually talks about her. maybe it's silly, but it reminds her of how much she's loved. ]

As long as they don't keep you too distracted from the proper date.
