[ It's something he wants and aches for all the time, of course. The memory of his beloved ship. All the things he could do, not for himself, but for others. It's been maddening on so many levels to be trapped here, to be unable to help as fully as he knows he can. ]

[ If there are any lessons to be learned while she's on this planet, Claire knows that not taking what time she does have with people for granted, no matter what they have or don't have. Balancing a piece of cake on her fork, she holds it out to him in a little toast, smiling softly at him. ]

Then it's a future date. But for now, we'll enjoy our cake, and I'll fill you in on all the good things happening in Solvunn.
